change your looks like Indian earrings.
But if you don't match those earrings with the right lipstick, you could be
doing more harm to your looks. So it’s extremely important to pair the right
lipstick with your earnings to create a glamorous look.
Match Your Lipstick and Earrings
Matching
the lipstick and earrings could mean either perfectly matching the colors or creating
a contrasting effect.
- Perfect Match – A perfect match means that both the jewelry and the lipstick color will pop and create a stunning effect. But make sure that this strategy is followed only on case your earrings are small. If they dangle low, it is recommended to use the contrasting effect strategy.
- Contrasting Colors – If your kundan earrings have dark colors (especially
the gemstones), it will be more reasonable to create a contrasting effect with
the lipsticks. Choose something that negates or smoothen out the effect
of the solid color of the stones.
You
could also wear two different colors (without contrasting effect) to match and create
a consistent ensemble.
The Color Game
There
are a number of color combos that can create a stunning effect when worn on
both the earrings and lips. For example, if you will be wearing coral or polki jewelry with aqua effects, wearing
turquoise lipstick will create the perfect looks as the two colors will complement
each other. There are many other similar combos that you could experiment with.
If you have neutral colored Indian
earrings, color your lips in berry. If it’s a gold earring, go for red
colored lips. You can be as creative as you want and test similar combinations.
Deviations from the Traditional

many times have you seen Hollywood and Bollywood stars and big music artists coming
out in public in lip colors almost matching their earrings, but actually having
a color that doesn’t exactly match? When you choose a slightly different variation
of the color – a different hue, it will help you add more depth to your overall
look.
This
is a strange territory where you will have to practice perfection. Else you
could easily fail and create an entirely different look than intended. Make
sure that there is a clear distinction between the hues and it should be easily
noticeable. So if you are wearing red polki
jewelry, there’s an entire “spectrum” of shades – from berry to burgundy –
that can be chosen from. But make sure that there’s never an exact match.
